Hello ! Welcome to my website. I will be using this site to share my portfolio and will offer most of the images for sale in most sizes and substrate. I will provide free tips on the subject of photography and will be able to answer your questions or point you to answers.

I have been involved in photography from about age twelve when I borrowed my brother’s Retina Reflex with Kodachrome and road my bike to a train derailment to photograph.

I have taken several college courses and attended seminars on many aspects of photography along with many hours of youtube instruction and photography travel.

I worked awhile with Lifetouch Studios in Royal Oak, Michigan. I covered school events and sports along with proms.  Night football games were sometimes a challenge shooting Tri X iso 400 without strong strobe lights. With camera flash you must anticipate where the action is going to be to find your spot.

Working for a wedding photographer I learned the art and timing required. I attended in person training classes from leading wedding photographers. I used a VHS ten course series and other material to advance my knowledge. I decided to start my own wedding photography business. I received several awards for my wedding portraiture as a member of WPI, Wedding Photographers International. Wedding photography was a side business and I did about fifteen to twenty per year for several years before I moved to Florida. One of my wedding brides worked for an ad agency and I obtained commercial jobs through her. I photographed events for “The Landsculptor” publication of the Metropolitan Detroit Landscape Association among others. Doing events for the Grosse Point Yacht Club, I was there for Detroit Red Wing tribute dinner and took pictures of Steve Yzerman and Bob Provert among others.

Florida provided a better schedule with more free time and I was able to join photography groups, learn about bird photography and shooting some model composites and not cooped up indoors during winter. I have learned to appreciate the beauty of nature. The Florida sunrise and sunsets are outstanding and the state has a wealth of animal life to picture. Landscapes are a passion.  .
